From 2003 to 2007, Architect Reuben Okoya was appointed Commissioner for Special Projects in Bayelsa State by the H.E. D.S.P Alamieyeseigha and H.E Goodluck Jonathan administrations.
As the Honorable Commissioner, Reuben Okoya managed numerous projects across the state. These included but were not limited to infrastructural, social, educational, medical and other projects.
Architect Reuben Okoya was the political head of the Ministry and supervised the day to day running of the Ministry. His duties included:
Treasury Building Accountant General’s Office Complex.
Revenue House, Internal Revenue Services, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
General Hospital Doctors and Staff Residencies, Okolobiri, Bayelsa State.
State Secretariat Annex 1 & 2, Special Advisers Office Complex, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
New Governor’s Lodge, Bayelsa State. Design and project management handled by Architect Reuben Okoya
